Lady Rizo ★★★★★

Lady Rizo has quickly become a darling of the Edinburgh Fringe. In three short years, she's now a must-see act and it's easy to see why. She's funny, sexy, smart, dangerous and daring. As she takes to the stage and reveals her beautiful, figure hugging dress she declares that the Edinburgh is her greatest love affair; a month long whirlwind that she can't give up although she does admit to seeing other cities on the side.

This is her most personal show to date as she shares tales of love lost, found and lost again interweaved with soaring vocals and gutter humour. Particular highlights include a cover of the Carpenters’ Close to You mashed up with Pure Imagination and her incredible finale number written by Rizo with her multi talented musical accompanist, Yair Evnine.

Rizo is a true diva, not in the sense that she's fabulous and fierce - which she is in spades - but in that she has a unique voice and style all of her own. When she sings, I can't help but realise that no-one sounds like Lady Rizo and it's likely that no-one ever will. This puts her in the same category as Streisand, Holiday, Franklin, Minnelli and those other incredible women who were one-of-a-kind.
