Frodo Allan is an award-winning producer, playwright, and director with over 20 years of experience working across a wide range of genres both in the UK and internationally.

As a Festivals & Events Manager, Frodo has delivered projects worldwide; from intimate cabaret shows to large-scale festivals. His portfolio includes touring theatre, nightclubs, awards ceremonies, charity spectaculars, and high-profile corporate events.

​

He served as Co-Artistic Director of The Glasgow Cabaret Festival (2009–2011) and, for three years, programmed and managed The Cabaret Tent at T in the Park, Scotland’s largest music festival. More recently, Frodo was General Manager of The Kelburn Garden Party, widely regarded as Scotland’s best small music festival. In 2020, he co-directed Fire & Light at The Helix, a night-time walk event attended by over 10,000 people. He continues to create dynamic outdoor and interactive experiences for both family and adult audiences.

In addition to his work behind the scenes, Frodo is an experienced performer and compère, with a critically acclaimed career as an actor and singer in musical theatre and various bands. His performance background also spans circus and comedy, giving him a uniquely versatile perspective on live entertainment.

As a playwright, Frodo has written and co-written several plays and is currently developing The Bard Abridged series — contemporary, abridged adaptations of Shakespeare’s works, now available on Amazon.

Passionate about inclusivity and accessibility, Frodo is committed to making the arts welcoming and open to all. As someone with a ‘hidden’ disability, he actively works to champion underrepresented voices and regularly collaborates with LGBTQIA+ artists and others who face barriers to participation due to cultural background, race, or physical ability.
