Jaggy Events presented the perfect way to round off the Christmas and Hogmanay celebrations by creating a wondrous world of illumination and pyrotechnics, welcoming in 2020 and the Year of Coasts & Waters with an illuminated, magical walk around the Helix Park and the iconic Kelpies.

2020 Visions was a myriad of interactive delights; a fusion of past and future where the audience transitioned through a magical Victoriana world to futuristic cyber-pagan tech, with ultraviolet face-painting, marshmallow toasting on open fires, tasty hot drinks and sweet treats to keep them warm. The audience could explore the huge park and discover projections of magical creatures in the foliage to interactive characters and performances that seemed to pop up out of nowhere. Father Time himself even made an appearance!

There were places to contemplate and interact with resolutions, wishes and promises for the year ahead and we encouraged audience members to reflect on their past and the deep shared history that brings us all together. The Helix Park was transformed by an amazing array of performances and interactive installations featuring the very best circus and fire performers from across Scotland.

The Kelpies were brought to life with music, light and fire. Fire jets were choreographed to the powerful live performance of Taiko Drummers. When the drumming stopped, an LED clad musician took to the stage to create incredible sounds on a spectacular laser harp.
